Rebidding No Trumps

If partner has bid a new suit and it is not a major which you can raise, your next priority is to rebid No Trumps. A No Trump rebid shows a balanced hand (like a 1NT opener) but may have a 5 card major.

A rebid of 1NT shows 15-17 points.

A jump rebid of 1NT shows 18-19 points.

A rebid of 2NT when partner has bid at the 2 level shows 15-17 points and is forcing (your 15 added to partner’s 10+ should be enough for game).

A rebid of 3NT after partner’s 2 level response shows 18-19 points.
